Order paid but never delivered

Goods paid for but never delivered — or marked delivered when they were not.

Consumer route. Try the National Consumer Helpline first (1915 / consumerhelpline.gov.in), then file on e-Jagriti. Find your forum & fee →

You paid in full, the order shows “out for delivery” for days or was marked delivered when nothing arrived, and the seller will not refund you.

What you can get

Full refund of the amount paid, compensation for harassment, and the cost of filing.

Steps

  1. Take screenshots of the order status, the tracking page and the delivery confirmation (or lack of it).
  2. Raise it with the seller/platform in writing and keep the ticket number.
  3. Register the grievance with the National Consumer Helpline (1915 / consumerhelpline.gov.in).
  4. If unresolved, file on e-Jagriti (e-jagriti.gov.in). The forum is picked by what you paid.
  5. Upload the complaint, affidavit, invoice, payment proof and the order/tracking screenshots as PDFs.

Frequently asked questions

The tracking says “delivered” but I got nothing. What do I do?
Screenshot the tracking page, ask the delivery partner for proof of delivery in writing, and keep both. A false delivery scan is strong evidence of deficiency in service.
The seller says it will “check with the courier” forever. Is that a defence?
No. Your contract is with the seller, not the courier. The seller is responsible for delivery.
