Complaint Generator e-Jagriti & RERA

Find your route — e-Jagriti or RERA?

Four questions. You get the right forum, the exact filing fee, and the steps to file — with the free NCH route first, always.

1. What happened?
2. How much did you pay for it? (in ₹)

The forum and the fee are both decided by what you paid as consideration — not by the compensation you claim.

3. When did the problem happen?

Consumer complaints must be filed within 2 years of the problem (Section 69, Consumer Protection Act, 2019).

The rules behind the answers

Consumer cases: the forum is fixed by what you paid as consideration — District up to ₹50 lakh, State above ₹50 lakh to ₹2 crore, National above ₹2 crore (2021 Rules). The fee runs from nil (up to ₹5 lakh) to ₹7,500. A complaint must be filed within 2 years of the problem (Section 69).

RERA cases: refund, interest or possession go to the RERA Authority (Section 31, usually Form M); compensation goes to the Adjudicating Officer (Section 71, usually Form N). The disposal target is 60 days for both. Fees are ₹1,000 in most states and ₹5,000 in Maharashtra for the Authority; usually ₹5,000 for the Adjudicating Officer.
